Instructor Training/Continuing Education/Specialty Certification Program
Empower Training Systems’ Martial Fitness Kickboxing instructor training, specialty certification and continuing education program provides in-depth information, practical experience and the highest quality fitness kickboxing training available.

The Martial Fitness Kickboxing program provides beginner and experienced instructors with the information, skills and knowledge necessary to provide kickboxing fitness clients and class participants with safe and effective training programs.

The Martial Fitness Kickboxing program consists of Continuing Education (A.C.E., NASM, WITS & NETA) via:
  • A CEC/CEU-approved home study course that provides in-depth knowledge and skill training.
  • Numerous live workshops that cover subject areas like training skills, drills, workout routines, choreography, and much more!
  • Multi-level Kickboxing Fitness Specialty Certification (CAQ) via a combination of both distance learning coursework and a live practical training workshop.
CEC/CEU approvals by ACE (2.0), NETA (20), WITS (20), and NASM (1.9)

The course content is based on exercise science principles that will ensure instructors and trainers are leading participants and clients through the safest and most effective workouts possible!

Instructor Training Manual Includes:

  • Learn to explain, demonstrate, and instruct the safe and proper execution of the Stances, Jab, Cross, Hook, Uppercut, Knee Strike, Palm Heel, Front Kick, Defensive Side Kick, Step Side Kick, Roundhouse Kick, Inside Crescent Kick, Outside Crescent Kick, Back Kick, Elbow strikes, Bob and Weave, Blocks, and Foot Movement Patterns
  • ​Identification of primary joint movements involved in each technique
  • ​Discussion of safety concerns associated with each movement / technique
  • ​Information about technique execution modifications necessary to prevent injury
  • ​Instruction of the concept of beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels of participation, as related to both skill and conditioning of individual participants

  • ​Skills, Drills and Workout Routines – information for non-choreography-type classes! This manual provides in-depth information on circuit or interval type classes that may or may not use equipment. All drills, skills and workout routines described in this manual can be performed with or without equipment! This book (and the accompanying video) provides instruction on several dozen brand new kickboxing/ MMA skills and drills that can be performed without equipment, on heavy bags, on focus pads, with medicine balls and using elastic tubing. The manual also contains some actual Class Plan examples for 8 week sessions!
  • ​Technique – demonstrates and explains safe and proper performance of all techniques. Also provides guidance for teaching the techniques and observing performance.
  • ​Focus Pad – demonstrates and explains safe and proper use of Focus Pads. Also provides guidance for teaching the use of this equipment, observing equipment use AND several drills using the equipment.
  • ​Skills, Drills & Workout Routines – this video demonstrates how to perform and teach dozens of different kickboxing/MMA training skills & drills! Detailed instructions for each skill, drill and workout routine shown on the video are documented in the Instructor Manual. “Improvement Metrics”, for every skill, drill and workout routine, are provided for instructors to use to keep training participants motivated.
  • ​Choreography – if you still teach rhythmic, choreographed classes to music, this course provides instruction on how to safely and effectively lead this class format. The DVD provides some choreography combinations that you can use!

Home Study
Empower Training Systems offers the most comprehensive Kickboxing Fitness instructor training home study training available. Learn at your own pace in the comfort of your own environment.

Workshops
Empower Training Systems offers a variety of CEU/CEC accredited training workshops covering subject areas such as:
  • Program and class design based on skill and fitness levels of participants
  • Biomechanics /kinesiology of movement and technique performance
  • Safety in movement and technique performance
  • ​Drills and skills for group fitness or personal training
  • ​Choreographed routines
  • ​Circuit/interval workout design
  • ​Proper Equipment use, and much more
Master Classes

Master Classes provide practical application of workshop or home study instruction, into a real-life fitness class environment.

Empower Training Systems always recommends performance of a Master Class immediately following any workshop instruction to give instructor trainees experience of practical application.

This also gives facility members a chance to experience a workout that may be offered in their facility. (¹CEU/CECs are not awarded for Master classes).
Continuing Education
The Empower Training Systems Kickboxing Fitness training is on-going. ETS offers endless continuing education and instructor support! Instructors can always find new ideas and workout methods to keep classes fresh and motivating through the ETS continuing education menu of workshops and home study courses! We want you to grow in your career. We want to empower you to become the best of the best!
Fitness Industry CEC/CEU (Continuing Education Credits)
All Empower Training Systems’ Kickboxing Fitness training (home study and workshop) is accredited for continuing education credit for A.C.E., NASM, NETA & WITS. For other certification organizations, check with us for CEC/CEU accreditation status.
Certificate of Advanced Qualification Training (CAQ)
The Empower Training Systems’ CAQ (Certificate of Advanced Qualification) program includes both a comprehensive curriculum and practical experience that provides the tools, knowledge and skills necessary to design, develop and instruct safe and effective Kickboxing Fitness programs for any population.

There are 3 CAQ Instructor Levels:
  • CAQ – Level 1 Instructor
  • CAQ – Level 2 Trainer
  • CAQ – Level 3 Master Trainer

Instructor Referral

Empower Training Systems (ETS) maintains a database of the instructors who complete training courses, workshops and CAQ programs with ETS. We can provide references for any instructor who is in our database. Facilities are welcome to check with us to find ETS-trained instructors. Instructors are encouraged to use ETS as a reference.
